The OG milk cow. Purchased in 2020 just a few days after having her first calf, Jolene was the start of it all! She is a big Milking Shorthorn and is all business. She takes her job as head milk cow very seriously.

Dolly is a Jersey and was purchased right after we moved onto our property. She was in her first lactation at the time. She's the sweetest girl and loves being a mom, even to calves that aren't hers. She is the best cow and as gentle as they come.

Ginny was purchased in the summer of 2022 and bred to have a purebred jersey heifer calf for that fall, Gale. She is from the same place as Hope & Dolly. Ginny is about as gentle and mellow as they come, we love her a lot.

Hope was purchased just before Ginny in 2022 and is also jersey. Like Dolly, she loves her babies and is our best nurse cow. She has which spots in her coat, has a beautiful udder and produces a ton of delicious, creamy milk.

Bri is the 2022 daughter of Jolene. Half milking shorthorn, half red angus - Bri had her first calf while I was in the hospital, also giving birth. Ha-ha! She is raising 2 calves (pictured) out on pasture, living life as a nurse cow. She is hopefully bred for a 2025 75% dairy calf. Our plans her next year though is to run her out in big summer pasture, with the beef herd and have her raise 2 calves again hoping to have her bred to a beef bull (Charolais).

Bri is the 2023 daughter of Jolene. Half milking shorthorn, half red angus and full sister to Bri. She is running out on summer pasture with Bri and the bull and is hopefully bred for a 2025 75% dairy calf. She too will hopefully be raising 2 calves next year! 

Gale is the 2023 daughter of Ginny and is purebred Jersey. Kylar showed her this last fair as a yearling heifer and did well! She will be bred this fall, once she's closer to 14 months old. 

Rue is the newest member of the herd and is a milking shorthorn! She is due to calve in October and will join the milking line up after her calf has arrived!
